Round 1 Preview Claremont vs. Subiaco
Claremont opens its season with a blockbuster clash against reigning premiers Subiaco at Medibank Stadium this Saturday afternoon.
With both teams coming off strong pre-seasons, the match promises to be an exciting contest between two traditional rivals.
Victories over East Perth and Peel Thunder during the pre-season highlighted the Tigers’ improvement over the summer, as the team looks to hit the ground running in 2015.
The Tigers have enjoyed a healthy recent record against the Lions – winning seven of the past nine clashes.
Off-season recruits Kepler Bradley, Oliver Tate, Toby Plant and Haydn Busher will all push their claims for a spot in the Tigers’ side, while Ian Richardson and Tom Swift will also be in the mix.
With both teams boasting an array of talent and depth, the game will more than likely be won in the midfield, with both teams looking to give their forwards first use of the football.
The Claremont Football Club encourages all fans to attend the game as the Tigers attempt to get their season off to a winning start before a bye in round two.
Bounce down is at 4.15pm.
