Round 7 Preview Claremont V West Perth
By Dan Scamozzi
Claremont and West Perth are set to line up in the first WAFL game to be played in Kulin when they meet on Saturday, as part of the State Government’s Country Sports Enrichment Scheme (CSES).
There have been 51 WAFL games played with CSES funding since the scheme commenced in 1999 and over $1.1million contributed to the program during that time.
The game will be played at Freebairn Recreational Centre, and sees both teams enter the clash with two wins.
The Tigers suffered a 21-point defeat to Peel Thunder in round six, while the Falcons grabbed their first win since round two when they defeated Swans by 23 points.
Claremont are yet to win consecutive games this season, and will be forced into at least one change following the departure of Oliver Tate.
Ben Higgs, Tom Shanahan and Justin Speed were strong performers in the Reserves’ win over Peel.
A win for the Tigers could see them rise to third position on the ladder.
Bounce down is 2.15pm.
Reserves will be played at 12.30pm on Sunday, May 1 at HBF Arena, following Colts at 10am.
