Round 20 Preview Claremont vs Perth
Claremont will be looking to continue their fine run of form when they host Perth this Saturday at the Show Grounds.
The Tigers are fresh off a bye heading into the clash, having won four of their last five matches.
The Demons, however, are coming off a 65-point drubbing to Peel Thunder in round 19, and enter the game on the back of 11 consecutive losses.
Incredibly, the Tigers have not faced the Demons since the opening round of the season.
On that occasion Perth recorded a 65-point victory at Lathlain Park, however, since then they have recorded just two wins from their last 16 matches.
Competition for spots in the Claremont side have been healthy all season under first-year coach Michael Broadbridge, and that looks like continuing after Aaron Holt and Tom Willett both made the most of their senior recalls in the round-18 win over East Fremantle.
Holt is due to play his 50th League game this weekend, having overcome a hamstring injury before the bye.
John Williams will need to prove his fitness after suffering a knee injury in the round-17 win over Swans, while Matt Goyder and Sam Fong both performed strongly for the Reserves in round 18.
The Tigers and Demons have kicked 100 points or more just three times between them this season, suggesting the match could be a low-scoring affair.
The Show Grounds have become a home-ground fortress for Claremont in 2014, with the Tigers winning five of their seven matches at the venue.
A win for Claremont could see them close to within two games of fourth-placed East Fremantle with a game in hand, while Perth will be looking for the four points as they bid to avoid the wooden spoon.
Bounce down is at 2.05pm.
