The Claremont Football Clubs renowned ‘Monday Crew’ have put together a side of Claremont products currently plying their trade in the AFL.
Among those identified are some of the competitions finest in Nat Fyfe and Eric McKenzie, premiership players Alan Toovey and Heritier Lumumba, emerging stars in Jeremy McGovern and Jesse Hogan as well as a large number of new recruits awaiting their chance such as Tom Barrass, Alec Waterman & Jared Hardisty.
With selection over seen by John & Frank O’Connell; and with a mountain of experience (a better way of saying age!) within the Monday Crew at their disposal, their 2015 Claremont AFL side is as follows;
With 25 players currently in the AFL system, Claremont leads the WAFL in supplying talent to the elite level. The next best is East Fremantle with 22 players currently on an AFL list, and Swan Districts with 19.
This data affirms not only the quality of the WAFL talent pathway but also Claremont’s status as one of the nation’s leading ‘Football Factory’s’ in talent production to the AFL.
