Monday, November 3, 2014 - 8:59 AM

The Claremont Football Club Chief Executive Officer Todd Shimmon has announced his resignation after accepting a position as CEO of the East Fremantle Football Club. Todd has been an integral part of our football club over the past 14 years, and he’s been instrumental in the clubs $16.5 million redevelopment that will lead our club, and community, into the future. The club has always remained financially viable during some tough economic times under Todd’s leadership. Todd has been a big part of its on field success having been involved in 2 premierships (2011,2012) a Foxtel Cup premiership (2012) and consistently appearing in finals over the journey.

Todd not only has worked for 14 years at the football club but he’s also been in various roles over the past 27 years.

Todd says ‘I have thoroughly enjoyed my 14 years as CEO of the Claremont Football Club, and I have met some wonderful people who will be friends for life, but I believe the Club needed a change of leadership, and I personally needed a new challenge. The Club is well on track to complete its redevelopment in mid-2016, and every Claremont supporter will be very happy to see the final product. I am very pleased to play a part from the start to almost completion.

I would like to thank all the coaches, players, support staff, volunteers and especially staff who have supported me over this time, and I wish the Club all the best for the future’

On behalf of the board, staff & volunteers the Claremont Football Club would like to thank Todd for his outstanding service and contribution he’s given during his time.
