Claremont On The Park

Monday, August 18, 2014 - 10:28 AM

A place to live, work and relax

Claremont on the Park will bring a fresh new mix of living and business opportunities to re-connect the Claremont community currently divided by the railway line. It will literally bridge the tracks, extending what Claremont offers to provide new and different experiences.

The 9.4 hectare site is located on the northern side of the Claremont railway station, bounded by the railway line, Graylands Road, Davies Road and Lapsley Road.

Not many Perth suburbs enjoy the sound of roaring Tigers in their natural habitat, but Claremont on the Park is a rare exception.

Claremont Football Club will also be redeveloping their clubhouse to create new business opportunities, with the oval remaining an active sporting facility at the heart of the project.

The mighty Tigers, otherwise known as the Claremont Football Club, have their ground and facility at the heart of the project, which also takes in the Town of Claremont Depot site, the former Police and Community Youth Centre (PCYC) and surplus railway reserve.

Contemporary apartments and a small number of townhouses will be built around the oval, with small businesses and shops along Shenton Avenue to create a lively place to live, work and socialise.

Green space will extend beyond Claremont Oval, with a number of interconnected areas of public open space and walkways to promote foot traffic and access to local facilities on both sides of the tracks.

When it comes to getting around, the existing train station and bus routes to Perth and Fremantle are just a lazy drop punt from your front door.

Claremont on the Park is another major metropolitan Activity Centre to be delivered under the State Government’s Directions 2031 and Beyond initiative to address urban sprawl and promote jobs, connectivity, community and environmental benefits.
