FOXTEL CUP News

Sunday, June 16, 2013 - 11:50 PM

The Claremont Football Club will begin its campaign to defend the 2012 Foxtel Cup title tomorrow night against Southport at Paterson’s Stadium.

West Coast Rookie Jeremy McGovern and dashing Claremont defender Blake Anderson have been named to make returns from ankle injuries after long stints on the side lines and former West Coast Eagle Tom Swift will make his return to football after leaving the game to concentrate on his career at the end of last season.

CFC Football Manager Dean Horsington is excited to see Swift back in Claremont colours and says that he has been in the pipeline to make his return in the Foxtel Cup fixture since returning to train with the senior squad.

“Tom has been training with the senior side for a little while now and it has been in our plans to give him an opportunity during this Foxtel Cup fixture since he returned to training. He has been training well and he is a quality player so we are all looking forward to seeing him back in the Claremont colours and on the footy field in general”.
