Thank you Broady.
As you would be aware Michael Broadbridge has announced that he will not be seeking an extension of his senior coaching position at the Club.
Increasing work commitments with the Western Australian Institute of Sport, where he is employed as a Performance Team Director, has meant that he will be unable to continue to commit the significant time involved in coaching a WAFL league team in the future.
Michael made the announcement to the playing group after training on Monday night and received a resounding round of applause from all the players.
Michael has approached his coaching role over the past two and a half years in a thoroughly professional, dedicated and enthusiastic manner and despite significant challenges in training and playing out of temporary facilities at the Showgrounds has distilled a truly resilient and competitive spirit in the playing group which has seen the League team reach the finals in 2014 and 2015 and remain competitive in 2016 losing many games by extremely close margins.
The Claremont Football Club extends its gratitude to Michael for the outstanding contribution he has made to the Club and wishes he and his family the very best for the future.
Michael will see out his role as senior coach for the remainder of the 2016 season before turning his attention to his full time role with WAIS.
The Club will now go through a thorough and extensive selection process to secure the best person available to drive the Club’s on field performance into the future.
