Round 11 Preview Claremont v Swan Districts

Wednesday, May 25, 2016 - 12:21 PM

by Dan Scamozzi

Claremont will be looking to keep its finals chances alive when it hosts Swan Districts at the Showgrounds on Sunday.

The Tigers lost to East Fremantle by five points last Saturday – their fourth loss by under 10 points this season – while Swans were defeated by South Fremantle.

Claremont has not won since Round 5 and is on a five-game losing streak along with Swans, with the Black Ducks’ sole win coming against the Tigers in Round 4.

Haydn Busher, Zac Langdon, Rowen Powell and Hugo Breakey were strong performers for Claremont in the Reserves’ win over East Fremantle and will push their cases for selection, while Francis Watson has now played seven games since returning from a broken leg.

A victory for the Tigers could see them close to within two wins of fourth and fifth position depending on other results, ahead of a bye in Round 12.

The club encourages all members and fans to attend the game and cheer on the mighty Tigers!

Bounce down is 12.10pm, following Colts at 9.40am, while Reserves will follow League at 3pm.
