Coaching

E-mail Print PDF

If you are interested in Coaching in the Claremont District you will need to be at least Level 1 accredited or working towards Level 1 accreditation prior to the season starting on the 2nd of May 2010. The reason for this is to ensure that all coaches have the base skills necessary to be a successful coach and that they understand the philosophy of Junior football and player development over winning. In 2010 there will be a strong emphasis on game environment and the Claremont District staff will be attending more training sessions and games than ever before in an attempt to improve the environment as much as possible.

Newly Level 1 accredited coaches will be assessed and given feedback at one training session and one game day in season 2010. The purpose of this assessment is not to be critical of coaches but to work together to offer some alternative training or game day ideas and praise the good work that our volunteer coaches do in our District.

If you are a coach who has already received there accreditation but would welcome some feedback then please feel free to get in contact with the Claremont District's 'Smarter than Smoking' Development Officer Sam Cousens at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
