AFL Draft
AFL DRAFT
The NAB AFL Draft is conducted on an annual basis in Melbourne.
Players who wish to be eligible for the AFL Draft are required to nominate. The website which explains this process can be found at draft nominations.
AFL DRAFT AGE
In order to be eligible for the AFL Draft, players must have attained, or will attain the age of 18 years, on or before December 31, in the year of draft.
AFL DRAFT Combine
The AFL Draft Combine is conducted in the lead up to the AFL Draft and involves invited players being put through a range of physical and mental tests, along with individual interviews with AFL clubs.
Players are invited to attend the AFL Draft Combine based on nominations from AFL clubs.
The WA Football Commission conducts practice sessions for those players invited to the AFL Draft Combine, so that they are familiar with the tests they will be experiencing at the combine.
